National Disability Insurance Scheme (NDIS)
The NDIS provides funding for people with a disability to foster their independence and develop their ability to be actively involved in the local community.
Our services help people of all ages in the development of functional skills for independence and meaningful community participation. We support participants who are self-managed or plan-managed (nominee). Our tutors work with families to develop an individualised program that caters to the participant's learning and social needs. |

Social Superstar
Social skills can be tricky to learn! No one ever explicitly told you to leave a seat spare when you sit next to someone at the movies, or that it is not okay to ask how old someone is - you just 'know'.
Some kids don't learn these skills "naturally". They find it difficult to learn from the world around them, and need to be taught these skills.
Social groups... over the course of the program, children become superstars and are taught to explore social thinking concepts, become aware of their own social behaviours and develop strategies to monitor and modify their behaviour.
